Katherine Stimson, CSEP

Katherine Stimson, CSEP is an entertainment and event professional based in Dallas, Texas.   Her work experience includes managing entertainment and talent for the cruise industry, corporate, social events, and experiential marketing campaigns.   She is an adjunct instructor in the Hospitality, Exhibition and Event Management program at Dallas College, currently teaching Special Events Design, Introduction to Sports & Festival Marketing and Event Industry Entrepreneurship.

Currently she works as a staffing manager for productionglue, working on recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of project entertainment management staff for a number of international projects. Through her company, K Stimson Events, LLC, she has worked as a freelance live entertainment producer.   Her clients have included:   Continental Event and Sports Management Group, LLC, the producers of the international Divas Half Marathon series, the producers of the Publix Georgia Marathon, Chicago Half Marathon, First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon, New Jersey Marathon, and the Michelob Ultra 13.1 Marathon series.  She is formerly the entertainment director for the Lifetime Fitness Miami Marathon, held annually each February.

She was previously the Experiential Production Manager for A+ Staffing, one of the largest staffing companies for experiential marketing events in the U.S.   While at A+, she managed activation staffing for clients such as: Wendy’s, 7 Eleven, Samsung, US Army, iHeartRadio, and worked as an on-site manager at 7 Super Bowls.

Stimson holds a M.M. in Music Business & Entertainment Industry Studies from the University of Miami, a BFA Hons. in Music from York University (Toronto), and a Certificate in Meeting & Event Management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.     She received the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) designation from the International Special Events Society (ISES) in 2014.
